The way I choose and shoot my photography subjects is an extension of who I am. I look for what intrigues me, what sparks my imagination or simply what I find beautiful. The crisp lines and taught composition, the nod to the natural form and organic shape it all speaks about what I value most. It’s been this way ever since my days as a graphic design student at the Kansas City Art Institute. I took photos that intrigued me then, and I have ever since, amid the demands and thrills of a long career in graphic design. My pictures, like all of my designs, must have good form, but they must also serve the function of attracting and captivating the viewer with what I found captivating to begin with.

I bring my camera with me often whether I’m taking a day trip to a nearby Missouri destination, or traveling to foreign countries in Africa, Europe or South America. I try to take the viewer with me in these photos. I hope you enjoy the ride.
