Born north of the Green Mills Bridge, on the Little Niangua River in Camden County, raised and still residing on the south side, I left Camden County to major in Fine Art at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. After returning, I worked in various occupations, none related to art, then in the year 2000, I returned to art. I rented a vacant store in the town of Macks Creek, and opened a studio-gallery.  Portrait work, would pay the overhead and gave me the freedom to develop my art.  I began to enter juried art shows.  I gave myself a five year window to see if it would work. After a rough start, I have since been juried into and won awards in state, regional, and national shows.

I work in oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, mixed media, and photography. I enjoy the challenges of discovering the uniqueness and diversity of each
medium.

If I can define what is essential, what stirs, lifts, or captures my interest, and since we came from one, sharing parallel lives and time, perhaps you will also find it interesting.
