Lucy Compere Sjoblom

Born in Oklahoma, and grew up in Oklahoma, Milwaukee WI and SW Missouri.  I drew on every blank paper I could find.  That included my parent’s books and margins of school papers.

My first job was a staff artist on the Tulsa World-Tribune.  I did displays and advertising for J.C. Pennys, and was an advertising manager for the Milo Waltz stores.

I have a B.A. degree in art from SW MO State University and have attended workshops with some well known watercolorists such as Frank Webb, Claude Croney and Ron Ranson.

When traveling to many countries, I take photos and then come home to paint.

I feel very blessed to be able to travel, paint, meet interesting people and have a great life.
